In light of the new speeding ticket legislation here in the state of Georgia...{the reduction of points against one’s drivers license, but increase in fines}  The state of Georgia will now suspend your license once you have accrued 24 points in the previous 12 months.  Which use to be 15 points in a 3 year period.  With reduced points per ticket.  Are they now offering a license to speed?  That is anywhere from 4-12 speeding tickets!  Ponder, why would they do that?  Reduce the points on your driver’s license, but raise the fines?  

Because shooting fish in a barrel; i.e. speeders, is a revenue generator.  They (i.e. county/state) would lose income by suspending licenses due to points.  Which is generated by speed trap enforcement.  It is rumored too, that the insurance companies purchase the radar/laser equipment for the municipalities.  Both hiding behind the monocle, “We are promoting safe driving.”  Basically both are capitalizing from this operation.  What is their true vision?

We are not promoting speeding either, just early detection to help notify you, they are out there, and beware.  If they can broadcast, you can receive.  These systems are not illegal.

A remote system will give you the best performance, the greatest distance, and the greatest reach.  Seconds count, especially while traveling at 60-70mph.  Your vehicle will be traveling at 88 feet per second, and things are happening quickly.

Portable radar detectors are a start.  Craig Valentine has been generating the same unit for over twenty years.  He offers one of the best portable radar detectors available.  Portables are dependant to receive their information through the glass of the car.  The higher the mounting location (i.e. visor, rear view mirror area) the greater the lead content in the front windshield of the car, which prevents/hinders the Doppler or laser information from entering the interior.

On German and English cars they have speed sensitive wipers.  They have two ways to achieve the raindrop count.  One is a heavy lead content in the front windshield, or a laminate between two layers of glass.  Both prevent and hinder the portables ability to work efficiently.

“Real World” a portable out in the breeze, like on a motorcycle would give you the best performance of that portable.  Our sister company www.carphones.com noticed the drop in performance on a cellphone once inside a metal container/car.  Cellphones supported by a car kit (i.e. external antenna, charging phone, providing a consistant power supply) increases the range of a cellphone by over 20-30%.  Beyond raising the bar, keeping the bar stacked, racked, and packed.  Plus increasing your broadcast and recieved audio.  Better clarity and better sound.
